For those of you in Singapore, if you have some time today and you’re in the mood to be entertained beauty wise, go and catch Maestro Kevin, the Taiwanese celebrity stylist made popular by the beauty program Queen or Ladies First (女人我最大). I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching him in an up close demonstration session at Marina Square yesterday. The guy really knows how to work the crowd.

Maybe you have seen it, maybe you have not. But the stands have been set up and at the Watsons outlet I frequent, it’s already on public display. Noticeably missing were the goods on the stand though.

Mary Kay is officially available in Singapore now. But you won’t find their products available at any of the retail counters because the company is still selling direct to consumers via the beauty consultants. In fact, I was quite awestruck by how protective the company is over this exclusive sales channel even though consumer preferences have changed so much since Mary Kay’s establishment in the States. They’re still committed to their key philosophy of changing women’s lives through their direct selling business strategy!
