Lucas’ Papaw Ointment for dry, damaged skin

Now I know why some of my readers tell me that they don’t want to read my blog every day. The temptation to purchase a product based on a rave is irresistible and they find it hard to restrain themselves! And this was what happened to me recently when I read Tine’s review on the Lucas’ Papaw Ointment. I immediately hunt it down at a local online shop and placed an order for it. At S$7.80 for the 25g, it was hard to resist.

Ego QV Wash & Skin Lotion: for troubled skin

About two months ago, my husband developed a skin condition and it was diagnosed as irritant contact dermatitis, which is skin inflammation caused by direct contact with a particular substance. His skin became red with rashes and they were spreading and itching badly. The cause of his skin ailment was traced to the body soap he was using, which was overly alkaline. My husband subsquently switched to using Ego QV Wash at the advice of the doctor and his skin condition improved. He also recently started using the Ego QV Skin Lotion and that has proven to be suitable for his sensitive skin condition too.

Review: Avalon Organics Bath & Shower Gel

I spotted the Avalon Organics range of products at Watsons and promptly bought two bottles of their bath and shower gel after looking at their price tag. I still have bottles of brand new shower gel sitting in my bathroom but these were irresistible as each 350ml bottle was going for S$10.90. I considered that price to be cheap and I didn’t even realize that there was a promotion and in the end, I only paid S$18 for both. There were four types of shower gel; lemon, lavender, rosemary and peppermint. I picked the first two because their scent appealed to me.

Ahava Mineral Botanic Velvet Cream Wash

I was at Marina Square to shop for some suitable bath pampering items for the family and I remember Ahava and their Dead Sea mineral products. I recall they have some body wash for sensitive skin, which may work well for my husband’s skin allergies and my boy’s delicate skin. I was introduced to the Ahava range of Mineral Botanic Velvet Cream Wash, which are SLS/SLES and paraben free. I picked the Lotus Flower and Chestnut body wash out of the six choices available for it’s calming and lovely scent.
