I was rather excited to try the Naturopathica skin care products because they sound rather promising. Another reason is because the brand reminds me of Neal’s Yard Remedies, which I’ve wanted to try but haven’t had the chance. Well, similar or not, I’ve been trying some products from Naturopathica for more than two months and I’m now ready to share my review on them.
I can now totally understand why a number of you like using virgin coconut oil. It’s quite an awesome oil and I wish I had discovered it earlier. For some reason, I kept thinking that the smell would be quite unbearable but turned out, this is one of the best smelling oils I’ve come across. I mean, unless you really detest coconut, there’s no way you’ll dislike the smell. Moreover, it’s a very versatile oil, being suitable for both our hair and skin. In fact, you can just about use it anywhere on your body.
I wonder how many of you remember when I used to rave about Sukin Organics product range back in 2008. In fact, I was pretty enamored with the Sukin Organics Foaming Facial Cleanser and had used up quite a few bottles during that stretch. But actually, if you’ve seen Sukin, you’ll know what I mean when I say the brand is unexciting but yet appealing. I mean, it doesn’t feature any interesting ingredients nor is it a cult brand but somehow, the simple natural concept, affordable price plus easy accessibility work together to give this brand a certain mass appeal.
Those of you who have visited ION Orchard recently might have noticed the new Apivita store located at B3-45/46. Although I didn’t attend the media event, I had a chance to pop by the store when I was in that area and I’ve to say the wide range of products appealed to me. I had a quick look and the thing that caught my attention were really the face masks. I’ll share my thoughts about them in a bit, having tried some of them from the media kit I was sent.
