During the course of my research about Astaxanthin, I found out to my delight that the ingredient not only protects our skin against the sun when applied topically, it can also provide significant benefits to UV damaged skin, including reduced wrinkles and younger appearing collagen. In fact, a study had shown that topical Astaxanthin acts as an effective “skin whitening agent”, reducing melanin by 40 percent, and greatly reducing freckles as well as age spots (source). And as I set out to hunt for this ingredient, I realized that I had already used a product containing this ingredient without being aware of it until now!
Remember Sweetsation Therapy, the USA based online beauty store that sponsored very generously for the recent VivaBella Green Beauty Box Giveaway? Well, besides the giveaway items, Natalia, the owner of the store, had sent me a couple of her products to try as well. Included were the C*Perfect Skin Organic Foaming Face Cleanser , the I*Light eye cream, the Very*Berry Organic Oxygen Masque & Scrub, and the Sun*Si’Belle Organic Triple Action Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+, tinted.
Last month, I passed my girlfriend three products from Kalis Skincare to try. This is an Italian brand that is made in UK and is positioned as a reasonably priced, well researched natural skincare range with fewer and lower concentrations of chemical ingredients. Their products are also made without animal testing and formulated with no mineral oil, no SLS, no animal or GMO ingredients.
A number of you asked me about the Mukti organic products that I’m using and so this is a review of two of the products I’ve been trying. They were from the Starter Pack, which I received at the media launch last month and I’m quite impressed by the fact that I’ve been able to stretch them even after a month of usage. Normally, such sizes will last me about two or three weeks at most.
