Before I gave birth to my son, I used to love my feet more than my hands. Yeah I did. And it was for the simple reason that my feet was prettier than my hands. So I had this weekly pedicures and I would slather foot cream religiously. I even wore socks! But when I got pregnant, my feet swelled up and when the swelling subsided, they looked slightly wrinkled up. Then my feet care routine went downhill from there. I still slathered foot cream but it was only when I remembered or when I felt like it. I also had lesser time for feet care and I began to dislike foot cream that left stain marks on the floor.
Those of you who frequent Watson’s must have seen these around – the Scholl Medi Qtto Sleeping Stockings, a compression hosiery that helps to reduce water retention and swelling, promising you shapelier and more slender legs overnight. I almost got it when it was first launched because I’m quite a sucker for things that promise me results without having to do much. I changed my mind though, when I saw the price tag at S$46.90, as I wasn’t ready to give up a leg for it. But maybe the company read my mind or something, because I was subsequently gifted with a pair at the end of July to try. So I’ve been wearing these on and off since then. Do I now have model-slim-legs? Well, read my review with before and after pictures to find out!
I started using bedroom slippers after I issued the Viva Challenge on wearing your socks to bed. In the post, I had mentioned that Traditional Chinese Medicine suggest that when the feet get cold, it affects the upper respiratory system and impairs the body resistance and this may in turn leads to common cold, upper respiratory infection, abdominal pain and painful period, even cardiovascular diseases. Hence, I decided to wear bedroom slippers to try promote better body resistance by keeping the feet warm and protecting the body from the attack of external cold.
Recently, I’ve taken to using bliss products on my feet and am loving them! I received the bliss hot salt scrub and blood orange + white pepper body butter during the last media launch and gosh, these are lovely stuff even though they don’t fit in the natural/organic skincare category at all.
