Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo

Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo

I fell out of love with Burt’s Bees after they were bought over by Clorox in 2007 but this Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy Shampoo is making me love the brand all over again!  It’s rocking good stuff and until now, I still can’t believe that a natural shampoo free of Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate can give my fine limp hair volume and also control my greasy scalp at the same time!

100% natural scalp tonic for oily hair

hair scalp tonic

I’ve never had much confidence in natural products doing anything for my specific hair condition; much less using essential oils as treatment. So I was initially quite skeptical that this hair tonic formulated with Jojoba oil and 100% pure essential oils including Lemon, Cedarwood, Rosemary as well as True Lavender could do any wonders to control my greasy scalp. But boy was I impressed with how well it kept the oil at bay the entire day for me! I didn’t even need my dry shampoo when I use this Scalp Tonic for Oily Hair & Scalp from C’est Naturel.

Phytocedrat Sebo-Regulating Shampoo

Phytocedrat Shampoo

I recently switched to Phytocedrat Sebo-Regulating Shampoo and for awhile now, I haven’t had to resort to using dry shampoo to keep my hair looking less greasy. I have seen this product around for some time already but haven’t been inspired to test it out because I never had good experience with shampoos containing botanical ingredients. Well, shampoos that do not foam usually doesn’t work for my extremely greasy scalp because mine is the sort that produce sebum almost IMMEDIATELY after washing. So you can imagine my trauma all these years; not to mention the amount of dry shampoo which I have been inhaling!

DIY Beauty: Rhassoul clay for oily thin hair

Rhassoul Clay

I received a sample packet of Moroccan Rhassoul clay from Yours Essentially sometime back and didn’t quite know what to do with it. I didn’t want to use it as a mask on my face and so I ran a search on the Web and found that Rhassoul clay can also be used as a shampoo to remove dandruff or excess sebum from the scalp. Hair washed with the clay is said to become soft and shiny with more volume. Plus some users were even commenting that the clay can help reduce the need for frequent hair washing. And that all sounded great to me because I have a peculiar hair condition characterized by fine, thin and oily hair which I have to wash daily.
