My hand cream obsession

I’m a bit of a hand cream addict.  I can’t get enough of them.  It really started because one of my ex-bosses said he can judge a woman’s age just by looking at her pair of hands.  That remark got me sitting up and taking note of the condition of my hands.

So let’s see the number of hand creams I currently have.  I have three by my bedside.  One in my vanity tray.  One on my working desk.  One each in a few bags.  Ranging from brands like Dove, Nivea, Sally Hansen, Biotherm, Neutrogena, Crabtree and Evelyn, Elizabeth Arden, Body Shop, Marks and Spencer to Skinfood.   And still, I must buy more.

Eight Hour Cream or not?

Seriously, I don’t understand what makes the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream a cult beauty item.   I was greatly disappointed with the result of its Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment and didn’t think it lives up to its reputation as a luxurious gel cream to moisturize hands up to 8 hours.   Did they mean one application or a dozen?

Moreover, the cream feels and smells suspiciously like vaseline petroleum jelly.  While it is indeed very concentrated, I dislike the feel after rubbing it on my hands and thought it is so much like the much cheaper Neutrogena’s Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.
