Natural nail polishes: non-toxic or just 3-free?

Recently, I bought some nail polishes from Zoya and I was surprised to learn that the brand is considered as natural. I never knew! Actually, it’s not surprising considering that I’ve always favored OPI nail polishes and hence, have never looked at the legions of other brands in the market. However, this is changing because this year, I am keenly seeking more natural alternatives for my nails and my first find was the Karma Organic non-toxic nail polishes. In fact, it was that first find that spurred me to check out if there is such a thing as a natural nail polish.

Wailing nails & what are they getting away with?

A bunch of toenails were heard wailing: “SOS! SOS! We need some serious help. Can anyone hear us crying? Oh man, can anyone even see us? We’re being trapped under this pile of enamel paint ALL THE TIME! We don’t get to see daylight. NIL. ZILCH. This is so much grief for all we see are a riot of colors and they’re not the usual primary or even secondary colors. They’ve even got cry-out-loud weirdo names to boot. Like this one is “That One That Got Away”; what kind of a color is that? It looks like raspberry so why not just call it THAT?” (>.< )

Non-toxic nail polishes & nail polish remover

See what I bought from an organic store in Serangoon Gardens – two non-toxic and chemical-free nail polishes plus an organic nail polish remover, which are all free of toluene, formaldehyde, & phthalate (DBP)! I was actually spoilt for choices as there were an assortment of nail colors to pick but since each bottle was retailing at S$16, I decided to only pick two to try out first.

My assortment of products for cuticle care

I find that even though some hand creams are stated to help our cuticles, they do not do much for mine and I need to use separate balms to moisturize and nourish them. I wrote a post on two products I use to care for my unsightly looking cuticles more than two years ago but since then, I’ve been using lots more of other stuff to care for my cuticles. They are not messy to use and hence, I can use them anytime I like. And some of them are really lip balms or multi-purpose balms.
