Biolyn Scalp Balancing Serum

I have quite a bit of  hair problem.  On top of my fine limpy hair, I have an overly greasy scalp because of excessive sebum secretion.  Even though I wash my hair daily, my scalp gets very oily by the late afternoon.  And because of that, my hair was thinning.

Over the years, I have tried many types of hair products to help control my situation.  Hair loss lotions, serums, what have you.  I also sought treatment from Dr Philip Kingsley Trichological Centre.  Yet, I didn’t see any visible results.  My scalp remained greasy and my hair thin after all the money spent.  It was most exasperating.

Cover up for that pore-fect look

This is a product I have been using before applying my compact powder to cover up the open pores around my nose area.  The Ettusais Zero Pore Coat.

Ettusais is a sub-brand of Shiseido which carries a range of medicated acne, whitening and pore care products.  Their zero pore coat is an extremely light and quick-dry formula, which is to be applied after skincare and before foundation.  Just smooth on a thin coat on areas prone to oiliness and with visible pores.

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

Domestic Rat of Amuse-Bouche has very sensitive skin and hence is very particular about the skincare products she uses.  Here, she recommends a product for those with skin condition like hers:

Few people can fully understand and recommend with confidence products suitable for sensitive skin users. Half the time, they cannot comprehend why skin would turn reddish or even what eczema is.

Bogged down with such rare issues, I often find it a strain to buy cosmetic products over the counters, namely to articulate my concerns to nonchalant sales personnel.

Lierac Dioptigel: Non-specific results

Lierac’s Diopti range of specialised eye contour products which features active botanical ingredients is now available in Singapore.  These products are said to address specific problems around the eye area.

I tried the Dioptigel, which is supposed to help reduce the appearance of under-eye puffiness.  Unlike what was touted as instant de-puff, I had to use the gel for about two months before I notice some reduction in the puffiness.  Even then, it is not up to my expectation.
