Burt’s Bees Beewax Lip Balm

Yay!  I actually found Burt’s Bees Beewax Lip Balm at a shop in Singapore!  Thanks to a tip from a reader by the nick of eyong who left a comment in my earlier entry.

Instead of the usual tube, I got the tin instead because I like the size and the novelty.  But perhaps that’s a mistake because I later found the application a tad difficult because this stuff isn’t exactly rich.  And gosh, it left quite a tingling sensation on my lips because of its peppermint content.

I have to say with some reluctance that this lip balm doesn’t outdo my favourites in terms of the moisturising factor.   But still, despite its light texture, it does help to soothe my dry lips.  More importantly, Burt’s Bee Beewax Lip Balm contains only natural ingredients like ultra emollient lanolin and almond oil.  No petroleum for certain.   So this is something I really like.

I also found myself enjoying the peppermint taste after a while.  In fact, it taste exactly like a certain peppermint sweet I used to eat when I was younger!  Another plus is that it works well with my lipstick and there was no flaking even after a couple of hours.

I bought this at Dargon Dors Cosmetics (Kim Leng Store) at #03-1126, 32 New Market Road (People’s Park Complex) for S$6.50.   That price for a non-toxic lip balm with natural ingredients?  Definitely no complains there.

In terms of quality, I still prefer MyLipStuff at this moment.  But perhaps I should get the Burt’s Bee lip balm tube for comparison next time.

Does the Kim Leng store carry Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmers? The little tubes of coloured lipbalm, I think that’s what it’s called? How much do they carry it for?

I love that stuff but have only managed to get it when I’m overseas, sigh!

Joy: Yes they do! It’s going for about $8.50 or $9.50 if I remember. The shimmers are going for $6.00. You can also read about some of the stuff they carry at my personal blog. Also, check it out at Whoopeekiddies…they’re having a sale now.
