Between my bestie and me, we bought these four items from Pañpuri during our shopping trip in Bangkok. Pañpuri is a leading Thai beauty brand and their products are described as free of silicones, sulfates, parabens or synthetic fragrance. Another interesting feature of this brand is that the products are formulated with Pañpuri’s exclusive antioxidant Jasmine Freeâ€Radical Defense Complexâ„¢, as well as pure plant actives and essential oils to insulate skin from all types of freeâ€radical damage.
Prices are rather steep
These products were bought a couple of months ago and I no longer remember the prices. But they are not cheap. I paid something like S$50 – S$60 for the facial cleanser and if I remember correctly, the body butter was around S$80 or S$90. Steep I know, and I wasn’t all that impressed with the ingredients but this is a pure case where our right brain dominated our left brain and we just went with our senses and our pocket. We were simply swept away by the luxurious smell and texture of the products plus the sweet sales assistant.
Pañpuri Leading Light Precious Wood Shower Gel 200ml
I bought this because of the smell as you can see the list of colorings did not bother me.Thank goodness my money was well spent for this is THE best shower gel I have used for a long time. The infusion of Indian sandalwood oil along with rosewater is just HEAVENLY! Other than the scent, I love how this product foamed so well and yet left my skin feeling soft with “supreme freshness and rich moisture”. I would have given this 5 out of 5 hearts if not for the high price point but this is definitely a good splurge!
Pañpuri Purifying Cleanser 100ml
This cleaner is formulated with Pañpuri’s exclusive Jasmine Free-Radical Defense Complexâ„¢ and pomegranate extract, and I have to say that the smell of the former is very strong. However, this cleanser does not lather nor foam very much and I found myself having to squirt more just to cleanse my face. Moreoever, it comes in a transparent glass bottle and is rather heavy; I found it inconvenient to use. I was also not taken by the long ingredients but this is one time I didn’t want to analyze so much. As a whole, this cleanser does a decent job of cleansing without stripping my skin dry but I concede that there are many cleansers that can do a better job for a lesser price.
Pañpuri Inner Peace Body Butter 200ml
My bestie bought this body butter and the massage oil and she likes both products. She has extremely dry skin and this body butter has effectively kept her skin well moisturized. I tried it at the store and I was impressed with the texture and smell. The floral-balsamic and slightly spicy scent of tropical ylang ylang, turmeric, moist 24 of india and olive all worked together to nourish and soothe the skin as well as stimulate the senses. It is rather rich but the good thing is that the cream is rapidly absorbed, leaving skin “sensually soft and instantly dressable”. Another good splurge I say!
Pañpuri Inner Peace Honey Milk Bath & Body Massage Oil 300ml
avocado (persea americana) oil, oleth-5, oleth-20, jojoba (simmondsia chinensis) oil, hydrolyzed soy protein, hydrolyzed milk protein, mel (honey) extract, polysorbate-80, tocopheryl (vitamin e) acetate, cananga odorata (ylang ylang) oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, santalum album (indian sandalwood) oil.
This other product my bestie bought is very interesting for it is a bath and massage oil. You can apply this like a massage oil or you can use it like a bath oil. Smells delish and the combination of coconut oil, soy protein, amino acids, honey, and ylang ylang work to nourish the skin and uplift the spirit. An interesting product that is worth checking out if you’re into body oils.
Overall summary
Pañpuri products are great for the senses but not that great for the pocket, unless you have a firm intent to splurge. I’m not hot about their face care products but I must say their bath and body care range are well worth the price in terms of how they make us feel. You can check out this product at the major department stores in Thailand. I don’t see this brand in Singapore but they are available in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan as well as USA and parts of Europe. For more information, check out their website.
Anyone tried anything from the range yet?
Those Thai natural skin care sold at department stores are very expensive but they smell really good. I personally found spa product has better value and they smell as good as the pricey one. “v
Yeah…they’re very ex! But I’m very impressed with the Thai market – how they are so supportive of their local brands.
This looks interesting but it is indeed too steep!
Yeah…good for the occasional splurge.
I love their body moisturizes. Love the smell of it! very spa kind of smell. Their hand creams are not too bad too.
Yeah…their bath and body stuff are a treat.
Anything with rose, sandalwood or jasmine costs sky these days, but nothing compares to their smell either.
