Find your perfect shampoo and conditioner from Oway organic hair bath range

Oway Hair Products
I’ve got my head full of Oway these days. From scalp treatment, hair color, to hair products, I’m literally crowned with Oway products. I’ve even ditched my John Masters Organic shampoo in favor of Oway shampoos and conditioners.

So what’s the appeal about Oway?

Some of you may recall that I’d mentioned Oway in my review of an organic hair loss treatment experience back in March. This is a made-in-Italy professional organic hair care line and the name Oway is short for Organic Way.

Their hair color, shampoo, conditioners, and styling products are formulated with biodynamic, organic and fair trade ingredients comprising hydrolates, active botanicals and essential oils.

In addition, all Oway products are free of SLS, SLES, paraben, petrolatum, PEG, PPG, & BG free, EDTA free, synthetic fragrance, and artificial colorants.

Even though I was invited to try their treatment at Geranium and I was gifted with some items, I began falling in love with the brand and started purchasing their products.

And it’s no surprise given that Oway has so much to offer. Not only is this a true-blue green hair care line, it has products just about for any hair condition.

Dandruff? Hair loss? Oily scalp? Limp hair? Damaged hair? Oway has the right product to meet your specific concern.

And the best part? It’s reasonably priced. A 240ml bottle costs S$39. Sure it cost more than the usual shampoo but if you compare this with the likes of premium salon hair products or other organic hair care range, I say their price is fair.

That’s why I’ve decided to purchase the Frequent Use & Bath Scalp even though I still have the Volume Shampoo and Micro-Stimulating Hair Bath. They’re all named as hair bath but are really shampoos.

Micro-Stimulating Hair Bath | 240ml, S$39
Let’s start with my favorite, the Oway Micro-Stimulating Hair Bath. This is an anti-hair loss scalp shampoo formulated to stimulate hair growth.

Here are some of its key ingredients:

  • Biodynamic Mint – Mint has a refreshing and revitalizing effect on micro-circulation, providing instant relief and comfort for the skin.
  • Organic Horse Chestnut – It improves the micro-circulation of blood vessels and encouraging the hair bulb to revitalize and strengthen.
  • Ethical Teak – It strengthens hair structure. Antibacterial properties.
  • Ethical Mahogany – Antiseptic and astringent for the skin, invigorating and energizing for the hair.

I’ve used this shampoo since March on alternate days and I noticed my hair is not as oily and the follicles not as clogged. I know this because I just went for another scalp treatment last month and the improvement on my follicles was telling.

But given that this is a stimulating shampoo with antiseptic and astringent properties, it cannot be used daily or my hair would be dry.

Volumizing Hair Bath | 240ml, S$39
As the name suggest, this shampoo is formulated to give density to fine, lifeless, floppy hair. My hair appears more bouncy every time I use this.

Here are some of its active ingredients:

  • Biodynamic Yarrow – It stimulates micro-circulation, improving the health and strength of the hair structure.
  • Organic Ginger – A decongestant and antioxidant, it has stimulating, purifying and antiseptic properties.
  • Ethical Purple Rice – Rich in anthocyanins that give it a characteristic purple colour, it is ideal for fine, brittle and damaged hair, as it restores strength and vigour.

This product was gifted and I have no plans to purchase it as I feel like it cleanses too well, leaving my hair stripped of its natural lipids. In fact, I did not use this shampoo very frequently and that’s why it’s still half full. At the rate I’m using this, I’m thinking it’ll take me another six months before I finish up the bottle.

Frequent Use Shampoo Hair & Scalp Bath | 240ml, S$39
I recently bought this shampoo and quite like it. It is gentle and suitable for all hair types, even the most sensitive. Yet it cleanses my hair well, leaving it slightly moisturized but not weighed down.

Here are some of its key ingredients:

  • Biodynamic lemon – Adds shine and revitalizes dull – matt hair thanks to the antioxidant properties of vitamin C.
  • Organic white tea – Rich in polyphenols, it has an anti-ageing action and protects against oxidative stress.
  • Ethical anisata – Soothing antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

I will repurchase this product again given that it works well for my hair condition. I also don’t have to worry that using it daily will dry out my hair.

Frequent Use Conditioner | 240ml, S$39
I use this conditioner with all the shampoo. It’s not exceptional but it is an effective detangler that nourishes and strengthens without weighing the hair down. I don’t need to use a lot each time so a bottle can last forever. Okay not forever for at least for eight months in my case because my hair is short.

Here are some of its active ingredients:

  • Biodynamic lemon – Adds shine and revitalizes dull, matt hair thanks to the antioxidant properties of vitamin C.
  • Organic white tea – Rich in polyphenols, it has an anti-ageing action and protects against oxidative stress.
  • Ethical anisata – Soothing, antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

Also available is the Smoothing Conditioner for extra dry and difficult to manage mane and the No-Rinse Moisturizing Conditioner for very dry, dehydrated hair or thick, frizzy hair.

Availability
Other than these three types of hair bath products, Oway also offers Moisturizing Hair Bath, Color Protection Hair Bath, Curly Hair Bath, Smoothing Hair Bath, and Silk ‘N Glow Hair Bath.

Whatever your hair concern, Oway has a product that can address that concern. And they’re reasonably priced at S$39 each. Like I’d mentioned, I find this price very fair considering that this is an organic hair care range. I know of similar hair products that costs much more.

I like that their products are high in quality and that they are all packed in amber glass bottles. So I’m in for the long haul and highly recommend Oway if you’re looking for an organic hair care product. You can also read my organic hair loss treatment experience to see the other hair products offered under Oway.

All Oway hair products are now available at Geranium and other selected hair salons. Geranium is conveniently located at No.26 Horne Road, BH Building #01-01 (5 minutes walk from Lavender MRT station). Look up Geranium Facebook for more information or call 6294 2581 for queries.

Has anyone tried Oway yet? Any thoughts?

I was recently advised to purchase this brand due to it being natural and organic but upon receiving a sample i have noticed that it contains the following ingredients: Methylisothiazolinone & Methylchloroisothiazolinone – which are known allergens – i’m concerned about using this product now…your thoughts…?
