Lemon water for health & beauty

Here’s a great tip.  And it’s inexpensive too.  Drink lemon water to rejuvenate from inside out, giving you a healthy system, a glowing complexion and a slimmer body!

If you do not already know, lemon contains high levels of vitamin C and can help to flush out toxins from the body and hence, works as a great skin cleanser.  According to Energiseforlife.com, the citrus fruit contains essential minerals including calcium, potassium and magnesium which the body needs; cleanses and stimulates the liver and kidneys; even works as an antiseptic and helps ease heartburn, bloating and other digestive problems.  Regular intake of the citrus drink can also improve digestion and elimination systems.

My yoga instructress used to tell us to soak half a lemon (organic if possible) in a jar of lukewarm water and drink it in the morning so as to retain the health benefits throughout the day.  According to her, lukewarm water makes it easier for the body to absorb the nutrients.

Now I also remember one of my nephews who actually drank lemon water to lose some weight years ago.  And my MIL who claimed that the citrus fruit helps to whiten her skin.

So ciao.  I’m heading to the supermarket to load up on my lemons!

What I would usually do is to squeeze the lemons and cube freeze the juice so i need only to drop a cube into a glass of water every morning, minus the daily hassle of squashing the lemon.

DR: That’s a good idea.  But I’m lazy to squeeze so dropping in half a lemon works better for me.

My offices uses slices of lemons in a jar of water for consumption. So I have ready lemons for my usage. I would just cut out a small slice & squeeze into a teacup & pour lukewarm water over it to consume.

I can honestly say, that a tablespoon of apple vinegar and a quart of water after 6:00 pm and no other food, you will loose weight. Ron

Ron: I heard something to the effect before. Good tip!
