Since I have written so much about the wonders of mineral makeup, I thought I should post a picture of myself to prove the point. This is a picture of me, before and after using mineral makeup. Can you see the difference?
I consider this a natural look, quite light actually, and yet I think it made me glow with some radiance. So what exactly did I used?
- YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch under my eyes.
- Erth Mineral Foundation 1.2 for my face.
- Erth Mineral Moth Veil Finishing Power.
- Fyrinnae green eyeshadow on the crease of my eyes.
- Eyebrows drawn and a touch of lipstick with lip gloss.
Because I didn’t use concealer on other parts of my face, some of the blemishes and spots are lightly visible but no matter, because I like to look that way rather than overly flawless. However, using mineral foundation definitely beats compact powder hands down in looking natural and not made up.
And it might interest you to know that the shot with makeup was taken after wearing it for half a day. No touch up at all. See the shine on my cheeks? Okay, that’s the flashlight but it’s also because mineral makeup is highly light-reflective and hence can sometimes make one look overexposed in a shot.
