What makes a good cream cleanser? Effective? Gentle? Moisturizing? Luxurious? All of that? If so, then Neal’s Yard Rejuvenating Frankincense Refining Cleanser is a clear winner. But it’s probably not one where droves will rush to grab. Why?
At S$56 for a 100g tube, this cleanser isn’t meant to have mass appeal. Sure it isn’t so expensive that anyone would gawk in disbelief but I’m not surprised if some of you feel that paying S$56 for a cleanser is like washing money down the plughole…literally.
I suppose that’s true but I highly recommend this product if you are into cream cleansers and in the mood to pamper your face because this is a luxurious cleanser that’ll enhance your face washing experience through and through.
Neal’s Yard Rejuvenating Frankincense Refining Cleanser is described as a luxurious two-step cleanser that will leave your skin feeling beautifully soft, smooth and rejuvenated. It’s a two-step cleanser because you should use it with the accompanying muslin cloth.
To use it, simply massage a small amount into skin, dampen the organic muslin cloth in warm water and wipe away using a circular motion. Rinse with cool water, then gently pat dry. But you should avoid using the muslin cloth around the eye area. Instead, use a cotton pad with the cleanser to gently remove any eye makeup.
Use with muslin cloth or konjac sponge
I did not follow instructions to use this cleanser with its accompanying muslin cloth simply because I find muslin cloth very abrasive for daily wash. In place of the muslin cloth, I use a konjac sponge which is a lot gentler and safer for daily cleansing.
And because I always double cleanse at the end of the day, I use this cleanser as a second cleanse with another cream or milk cleanser. I know…this must sound quite crazy to those who don’t understand double cleansing. But yeah, that’s how I cleanse.
Of course I can use Neal’s Yard Rejuvenating Frankincense Refining Cleanser twice but I don’t because that’ll be extravagant and taxing on my pocket.
Ideal for dry and mature skin
Neal’s Yard Rejuvenating Frankincense Refining Cleanser can be used for all skin types but is especially suitable for dry and mature skin.
Having used this product for weeks now, I can also attest to how luxurious this cleanser feels on my skin because of its creamy consistency and intoxicating scent of frankincense–a reason why I can’t wait to use this cleanser at the end of my day.
This cleanser contains 86 percent organic ingredients. Besides the firming and toning frankincense, Neal’s Yard Rejuvenating Frankincense Refining Cleanser contains organic baobab.
Use of fine ingredients
I’ve come across a couple of articles promoting the benefits of baobab. This is touted as the next biggest natural ingredient because it is high in antioxidants, vitamins A, D, E as well as Omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids. With such amazing benefits, no wonder this is called a rejuvenating cleanser.

Like I’d mentioned earlier, I highly recommend this product if you’re into cream cleansers. You probably can get scores of other cleansers that are similarly effective and do not strip your skin dry. But you’ll never get another cleanser that can give you the same great face washing experience like this does.
Trust me…once you’ve tried this, you’ll relish face washing like never before. ^^
