If you’re a regular here, you might have noticed I haven’t been posting much fashion entries as I used to do over the weekends. Well, I totally lost interest in fashion for awhile. I was wearing sloppy clothes to work and I couldn’t care less. And the reason? Because I hate how my hair looks now. I had such a bad haircut weeks ago and I’m still reeling from the agony of having to live with it. It totally killed my interest to look good. But I might just have got a bit of my fashion mojo back and it’s all thanks to the new pair of ankle boots I just bought during the week.
I’ve been looking for a decent pair of ankle boots for awhile and while shopping at Pedal Works the other day, I found a pair that was within my budget, seems comfortable enough and comes at the right height. I haven’t been wearing covered shoes for a great number of years and not seeing my toes when I move around is a little odd. But still, I decided to venture outside my comfort zone and who knew that reignited my interest to dress more decently again. In fact, I started wearing short skirts again, after not wearing them for some self-conscious reasons. Talk about shoe power!
The new pair of ankle boots is quite comfortable. The fit is about right and I just need the leather to be a bit more season after some wear. For those interested to know, the boots is retailing at S$120.
My husband was very amused when I wore my boots out with him. He thought I was going for some line dancing and suggested that I complete the look with a cowboy hat. Sometimes I wonder how many women out there also have such “encouraging” husbands with a
wicked unique sense of humor? (-_-)
Outfit of the day: Top (with a gaping hole behind) from ASOS. Black jacket from Uniqlo. The skirt is from Iora, the shoes are from Pedal Works and the bag is Diane von Furstenberg Ready To Go Printed Tote from Shopbop. Picture was taken by my 10-year-old son.
