Must you wear matching bra & panty?

I usually wait till the Chinese New Year to buy new underwear for myself and this year is no exception. It’s usually the first thing I think of but the last thing I get. This year, I bought a number of underwear because there were various sales going on at different locations. Since yellow has been announced has the color of the year, I decided to get myself some yellow undies since I can’t take to yellow clothes. Heh.
What frustrated me though is that I couldn’t find a decent matching set of bra and panty. I found one nice bright yellow bra from Sorella and they even had my size. However, it didn’t come with a matching panty. Then there was a Pierre Cardin matching bra and panty set in yellow I spotted but they didn’t have my size! Sharks…
In the end, I got the yellow bra from Sorella and a panty in the closest matching color from the same brand. But I wasn’t entirely pleased with my purchase. While I’m not that particular that the underwear I buy must be in matching sets, I always aim to get them in matching colors. Somehow, I find it a little odd to wear different colors even though my undies are hidden from public scrutiny.
So how about you ladies? Are you particular about wearing matching bra and panty sets?

Me too, I like wearing matching sets. I find Marks & Spenser makes it easy as they always have matching sets. They are also quite cheap when on sale. I thought Wacoal has nice sets too. Happy CNY!

i like maching sets but it’s not necessary for e to wear them together. so, not a roblem for me for not getting matching sets~~ Happy Lunar New Year

*blushes* I have matching sets but not all the time, I usually buy them in separates as I like those super cute undies with cartoons or designs..lol
And I would love to match the color though, pink designed undies goes with pink bra

I try to colour coordinate them if i can’t find matching ones, usually I will end up with more panties..LOL

No, I don’t wear matching undies. Because my bra needs to match my top in terms of material. My panties also.
For example, If my top is white, I would need a beige non-lacy bra. And if my bottom is kinda body fitting, I would need to wear panties which is seamless. So, I cater my inside to outside.
Matching ones might not always match what I want to wear on the outside. So, I don’t go for sets.
pf1123: Hey that’s interesting! Except for the color, I don’t consider the material when choosing them to fit my clothes…but probably cos the undies I choose are always those that doesn’t cause problems when worn with clothes.

I NEVER wear matching bra and panties. I don’t think I’ve ever paid attention to it or ever cared. I just grab whatever I see first in my drawer and put it on. Like pf1123 commented above, if I’m going to wear a white shirt, I won’t wear a black bra. yikes!
Sarah: I don’t go for matching sets all the time but I try to color coordinate them. I like them in the same color. White is actually my fave color!

I love to wear matching ones, Marks and Spencer is one of my favorites, they are so comfortable, pretty and are priced right.
Leon: I find them quite expensive…but they’re pretty.

to me it doesnt matter whether they are matching or not, so long as they dont give me vpl or have bold colours showing from beneath.

No matching. Though most of my underwear is black, so it does go together!
We were at New Year’s festivities in Chinatown earlier, and I just showered off Eau de BBQ and firecrackers. Got a new jade cellphone charm and black sugar jin dui for all. Now I’m paying for it in burps!

Is there anything as nice a brand new matching bra and pantie?
I always try to co-ordinate my intimates.
As mother use to say, wear clean and pretty underwear, you just never know if you’ll be in an accident.

I think matching sets are kind of old fashioned. Mixing it up is fun. I have a great bright yellow bra and love to wear pink panties with it.
I also like wearing a vibrant red lace bra with black panties. I guess if I was going to buy very elegant, expensive lingerie I would want the matching set.

Happy New Year to all! I always try to wear a matching set. Since I go for massages and spas quite often and am required to strip down, a matching pair of undies is a little more presentable. But hey, no one’s perfect and I don’t lose sleep if I don’t have a matching pair. Having clean undies is more important eh?
MsLips: I know what you mean. Especially cos your undies would be within their sight of view! If I’m not wearing matching ones, I’ll try to strategically cover one of the pieces with my clothes…hee…

I’m with PF1123; the bra I wear has to go with what I wear on the outside. T-shirt bras for tees, blacks for blacks, you know what I mean
As for the panties, anything goes. I like the concept of mismatched undies actually. E.g. I’ll be wearing a plain black bra, but with colourful boy shorts 
Tine: I think a plain bra with color panties or shorts is great but I’ve always stuck to using plain colored ones which can look strange if mismatched.

I very rarely wear matching sets just because it is so hard to find them in my size. I wear about a 34D and very few stores have that size in matching sets. Does anyone know of a good website that carries matching sets in my size that aren’t expensive? I’m on a very tight budget.
Nikki: Did you try Bare Necessities? I’ve got their ad right on my sidebar. They seem to have numerous sizes. Perhaps you can try them?

Yeah, I am. I will always buy my lingerie in set. And if it doesn’t comes in a set, I will wear a matching colour panties. My lingerie will also be the same colour (not necessarily same shade) as my top or skirt.

I love panty sets. It can be frustrating finding them though. In the summertime I don’t mind showing off a little lace panties but in the winter I don’t like to so I will wear my lacy bra and seamless panties that don’t match.

My hubby wants me to wear matching bras & panties but for me matched colors or not is ok as long as I am very comfortable wearing it. Some bras makes me itch, bras with underwire is painful for me. But it looks good though to wear matched undies.
