My local readers must be very familiar with Bud Cosmetics by now. It is the retail store to go to for all organic products to meet your beauty needs from head to toe. Besides their first outlet at Novena Square 2, Bud Cosmetics has another outlet at Mandarin Gallery. The company also runs a retail counter at the basement of Takashimaya Shopping Centre. I remember seeing their products sold at OG Orchard too. Anyway, besides Logona, Bud Cosmetics also carries products from The Organic Pharmacy, Dr Alkaitis, John Masters Organics, Sophyto, Intelligent Nutrients, Zuii Organic, Buds Baby, 100% Pure, NeoBio, Patyka, amongst others.

New organic addition
Mukti Botanicals is one of the newest brand brought in by Bud Cosmetics and based on what I’ve tried from the brand so far, I’ll say their products are of premium quality. Thus, this Mukti Macadamia & Honey Lip Balm that is included in the Bud bag will not disappoint.

Tsi-La FIORI D’ARANCIO Eau de Parfum Spray.
Perfumes were always one of my favorite things!! However, I no longer use them because the conventional & commercial brands available contains questionable ingredients and thus their scents no longer appeals to me.
I have completely stopped wearing anything synthetically scented.
I will be happy to give Tsi~La a try!
I would love to try a sweet and fruity scent… just like a Creamsicle, but not too sweet! Honestly, just by looking at the image on their website I would have never guessed which ones I would have liked.
Tsi-La’s ingredients are so pure and I hope the scent will linger on me.

I had retweet your tweet for this giveaway.

  2. Viv A. says

I wish there would be a store like it in my country with a wide selection of organic/natural brands. It will be paradise to choose between so many stuff. =)

  3. says

Again, thank you so much for introducing yet another great store to us!

Anyway, can I refrain from being modest and say that I would absolutely LOVE to have EVERY single thing under bud Cosmetics’ “Gifts for Her” category? :p I mean, seriously, with that fantastic 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Pretty Naked Palette, who needs Urban Decay’s version (no offense to fans, I know it’s really pretty)? And that range of Sante Funky Nails Polish Limited Edition Set is beyond adorable. I will wear that popping shade of hot pink everywhere. The Honore de Pres fragrances look like they’d make great additions to my existing perfume stash.

One item that isn’t in that category but still caught my eye is the 100% Pure Black Tea Pigmented Gel Eyeliner. I’m a sucker for anything that makes one’s gaze dramatic, and to know of one that’s actually made out of pure black tea? Too, too cool.

Super stoked to see what else you have up your sleeve for this giveaway! ;)

  4. Lil Khor says

I will go for their 100% Pure Mint White Tea Facial Cleansing Foam. Something that I can use, and I believe is mild enough for my pre-teen daughter. The mild coconut cleanser, hydrating Mint, skin calming botanicals and anti-inflammatory White Tea will definitely be good for her young and sensitive skin. So rather than just a gift for myself, it will be a gift for both of us! Yay!

  5. claire says

Buds is where I always get my shampoos and skincare products from. I usually go to the Mandarin Gallery outlet because I used to work in Mandarin Gallery. I really do love the place plus Eric and the other lady are always so friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing products. I’m not new to Mukti as I’ve used their hydrating mist toner. It was a pretty good buy as it helped with calming the skin and hydrating. They do have very good reviews on their product range.

Anyway, I would love to get anything from the Organic Pharmacy range. I love how there’s such a huge emphasis on rose. They focus on highly active extracts which are highly nutritive to our skin and hair. They have a really interesting website too. And also, they’ve recently brought in Sante Shower Gels in Pineapple Lemon and Coconut Vanilla in huge 950ml bottles. I would love to get some to shower in when I don’t feel like using my bar soaps. For cleansers, I’d like to try their John Masters Bearberry Foaming Wash or the 100% pure cucumber foaming wash! I have tried using serums and masks from these two brands and have gotten pretty good results. Foaming wash has been a recent obsession for my morning face wash as it’s milder and doesn’t over cleanse my skin.

Bud cosmetics really has variety natural organic skin care to offer unfortunately many products they are no longer carried on their online store. Which product I’ll like as my Christmas gift? I afraid my list will never end. Many products are tempting me but the prices definitely put a break on my foot, so 10-20% discount sounds good.

I wish to receive Tsi La Eau de Parfum Roll On collection as my Christmas gift most. The four scents of the collection give elagant touch on both inner and outer beauty in four seasons. In addition, the organic flower perfume is naturally infused by essential oils and can be applied directly on skin, concerning both my sensitive skin and sensitive nose, these are all I wanted for a perfume. (“v)

  7. kay says

I would like to receive the Fushi Wellbeing Balancing & Lift Herbal Shampoo as a Christmas gift. I’m using a shampoo that isn’t suitable for me as it makes my scalp oily very quickly. Normally I can get away with washing hair for 2 days (I don’t do this often as I must bathe myself before I sleep), but the current shampoo makes my scalp oily in half a day. I like the scent of herbal stuffs and always take a deep breath when I pass by any chinese medicine hall.

This particular shampoo contains a variety of essential oils which I believe will stimulate the hair and reduce sebum production on the scalp. I’m already using hair oil treatment once a week and it’s been good so far, except that it’s difficult to wash the oil off the next morning. Essential oils have been proving their worth so far but it’s a tad harder to find the right carrier oil to use for different purposes. Maybe I can add geranium or rosemary essential oil to my new shampoo to make my hair look better but I think it would be safer to get something that’s already available on the shelf than to mix my own concoction.

  8. Renz says

Being a 2nd time mum-to-be, I’m interested in the Buds Cherished Nursing Salve.

In fact when I was having my first one, I became more aware of natural and organic products as whatever I put on will be absorbed into my body for my unborn child or even when I’m breastfeeding them, or even transferred to them if I come into contact. Hence I would prefer a safer product with much lesser chemicals added in. And with the nursing salve, it would definitely put my mind at ease when I’m breastfeeding my newborn.

  9. Karin Yong says

I like products from Buds Cosemtic as they are not harmful to my skin and some of the products I can even share with my son. This Christmas, I will be getting Sante Eyeshadow Trio 06 Smokey Eyes for myself as Christmas present for a makeup. As a stay at home mum, I seldom makeup only for special occassion. This Christmas I am going to have a Christmas Party as this is my 10th wedding anniversary. I would like to use his eyeshadow to turn myself into a different person without harming my skin. Hopes I turn into a princess from an old maid.

  10. vuvie says

I would love to win their 100% Pure cosmetic and skincare range, Intelligent Nutrients and any perfume from Honore Des Pres or Urban Botanica. I have severe eczema and hives these days so I can’t paint my face or use perfumes (I am allergic to perfumes since June this year). I used a Loreal lipstick last month and ended up like the uglier retarded cousin of Angelina Jolie. Everytime I try to be pretty, I end up swollen or covered in rashes. I’ve since even changed my detergent to naturally derived detergent and using vinegar as softener.
On my body and face, I am going organic and natural. I’m already using a few products from 100% Pure. So glad that nothing itches, swells or have me going for the steroid cream.
I really just want to be normal, look pretty sometimes and not be sick :)

  11. nami says

i feel so exicited whenever i see stores that offers international shipping and that too with so many good organic brands..am a sucker for anything natural …i have tried a lot of western skin care brands and they did nothing except a big dent in my wallet.right now am using a korean brand which is free of free of fragrances, artificial colors, and synthetic preservatives and the key ingredients are extracts of 50 plant species developed through natural fermentation. and it did wonders for my skin and my believe for natural skincare has increased manifold….
getting back to point i would love to get Logona Age Energy Shampoo for my thinning hair..am suffering from severe hairfall..still looking for my holy grail hair care products ..the ingedient that caught my attention is goji berries as you have explained in one of your post how good they are for skin..if am not wrong they are also known as wolfbrries

  12. nami says

am little offtopic here but long time back you suggested to me a online beauty store called ecobeauty in one of your bb cream post …they also carry good stuff..i enjoy purchasing from them as well..so now i have book marked and liked bud cosmetics

  13. Audris says

Ahhhh Bud’s. The most convenient outlet for me is the one at Novena Square 2 where I’ve been in a few times to check out their products and the testers available. I’ve purchased a couple of Logona items on sale before. I like the concept and how cozy the shop is, but they’re definitely in need of an expansion as the shelves are choc-a-bloc with all these wonder skincare items!

A constant theme of mine is really mineral sunscreens. Out of all skincare, that’s really the most important in my books, especially for someone who likes the outdoors and water sports.

This! http://www.budcosmetics.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_53&products_id=699 The John Masters Organics Natural Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 is something I’d love to put to the test to see how cosmetically elegant it applies, as well as its efficacy as protection against the sun’s rays.

The ingredient list, with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the SPF filters, is relatively short – Aqua (water), aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice,* capric caprylic triglycerides, ethyl hexyl palmitate, glyceryl stearate, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, jojoba oil,* shea butter,* panthenol, tocopherol acetate, allantoin, sodium pca, green tea extract,* magnesium aluminum silicate, hyaluronic acid, calendula extract,* ethyl hexyl glycerin, benzyl alcohol.

Although it has a couple of plant derived alcohol ingredients in there, jojoba, shea butter, sodium pca, hyaluronic acid and capric caprylic triglycerides ought to be moisturising enough. On the whole, the ingredients read skin-friendly and $60 for 59 ml isn’t shabby at all.

Come rain, come shine, come flood, come winter, come summer and come Christmas, never, ever forget a skin-friendly sunscreen!

  14. says

There’s so many to choose from.
i would loveee to have the Oskia Renaissance Mask as a Christmas gift. With it’s ingredients, i think that it would help my acne scars…

  15. Lucia says

I just checked out BUD cosmetics website and i’m surprised to see a variety of brands in the site. John masters, Mukti, Logona and the like! Thanks for sharing! I definitely, definitely want to give Logona Age protection eye gel a try and the John Masters Bearberry oily skin balancing face wash. Oh how i wish we had these kind of organic stores here! Our local organic store is good but carries very limited brands.

  16. Nika says

Too bad that we don’t have a store like this here in Croatia. Where you can have such a large choice of organic products all in one place.
There are so many attractive products on Bud website that it is very difficult to choose only one! Since I already encountered JMO and Logona, I would like to try something new.
Like Buds baby Cherished Frost Defence for my boys or 100% Pure Yummy Ice Cream Body Cream Vanilla for little girl inside me (it looks so delicious and cute).

  17. aibicon says

I just realise there is this bud cosmetic shop in singapore where you can find most of the organic products there!! amazing! I shall go visit one day^^ People usually shop for clothes but I shop for organic products^^

  18. aibicon says

I would like to try bud’s cosmetic products as well as those for eczema skin. I myself have eczema skin since young and I cannot anyhow use products. After reading bud’s web sites, there are many brands out there caters for people with skin problems. Thats very nice^^

What I like about bud’s website is that they also state the ingredients of the products. Very informative site with many brands^^

  19. Anh B says

I just perused the Bud website and would love to try out the Dr Alkaitis Organic Night Cream. It seems to target my problems like open pores and fine lines, which i definitely need a little help in.

    • sesame says

Never tried it before. I am a bit leery of such treatments cos my skin is quite thin and peeling makes it sensitive. So it depends on your skin type.

      • Carol says

I read that mandelic acid peeling is not really peeling the skin but more exfoliating the skin with minimal side effects.

        • sesame says

I see…I wonderful if it’s like microdermasion but better? I guess if your skin is good, then trying the treatment once or twice to improve the texture should be fine.

  20. RedScorpio says

I am always on the look for a product that will nourish, strengthen and protect my very dry, thin, colour-treated red hair and John Masters Honey & Hibiscus Reconstructor seems to fit the description perfectly. And judging by its ingredients it should smell divine too!

  21. Cath says

I only just got introduced to this site (like 10 minutes ago), but this site looks amazing. I’ve been looking for some all natural ways to take care of my skin/health and I love that you all have taken the time to create a site that discusses all of that! Wish I had access to some of this stuff where I’m living now though

  22. CT says

I would like my bf to try Kimberly Sayer Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer SPF30. As he has super oily and excessive sebum on his face, most of the usual sunblock do not suit him which will break him out. But skipping sun protection is equally bad which will cause pre-mature ageing.

This is a lightweight cream which contains SPF and won’t clog pores. And it has Lemon Oil which detoxify the skin. Ideal for him. Guys also need to take care of their complexion.

  23. Liesl says

I’ve been using the sophyto range for years and still am a great fan.
For this Xmas, I would love get my hands on the Tsi La Eau de Parfum Roll On Collection. Am presently in a fragrance phrase. This looks like a perfect gift to end 2011 and start off 2012.

  24. Kristen says

The Honore des Pres Honore’s Trip Verrine Eau De Toilette sounds heavenly :) I love citrus scent! Their products look awesome I will definitely check them out

  25. Kathleen says

I would love, love, love the Kimberly Sayer Anti-oxidant Daily Moisturizing Cream SPF25. I’ve spent the better part of an hour trying to research daily moisturizers. I’m 28 years old and have only sporadically moisturized — however, I already have crows feet (from not wearing sunblock and from not wearing sunglasses) and lines on my forehead and neck. It’s not too bad, but it’s really gotten me thinking that I should start moisturizing with a lotion that has spf protection. The problem is there’s so many out there, I just don’t know which to choose. Organic is the way to go in my opinion — especially when it’s something as important as your face. This seems like the ideal moisturizer. It looks like they have a lot of great products, but I think that’s the one I’d choose if I had to choose only one. Great blog — very informative! Keep up the good work!

  26. Minnie says

Since I am preparing my body for pregnancy, I want to protect my future baby from the harmful ingredients that are used in most commercial brands, thats why I switch to organic skin care products and organic make-up.
I discovered BUDS in Unity Pharmacy, from that time was addicted to their shampoos & conditioners..esp the Logona Gingko Repair!

  27. Kim says

I’love to try the organic Pharmacy products, an award winner in year 2009 for best beauty buys. My all-time fave beauty product would be the face masks. The masks will help to revitalize my dull and tired skin. Would love to get it as a christmas gift for my everyday beauty treats.

  28. says

I would like to have Organic Pharmacy Skin Radiance Set as a Christmas gift. As I’m getting older, my skin gets old too, I’m sure this set will make my skin beautiful again.

  29. Sara says

It’s really hard to choose a gift in Buds where there is such a huge range of products!

After surfing the website for some time, I’ve found something that I would like for Christmas: Tsi La Eau de Parfum Roll On Collection.

I’ve been looking for a more natural replacement for my synthetic perfume. This set is perfect. As scent is a personal thing, this set of miniature perfume allows me to try a few fragrances. Small bottles also allow me to put it in my everyday cosmetic/travel bag, so that even if I don’t particularly like the scent, it can be used in an ‘emergency’ (I usually keep perfume samples in the event I need to freshen up)

  30. Pollya says

Shucks, I missed the Taka offer cos was out of town :-(
Yes, your regular readers would be familiar with Buds cos you’ve mentioned them a few times already. I’ve always wanted to drop by the Buds store but never got down to it…
I guess I would first like to try something from the Buds range, cos I presume this is their “in-house” brand so it’ll be good to ‘test’ how good their own brand is. Even though it’s a baby range, I think products like body lotions, shower gels, hair products and mosquito repellants can be used by adults as well; why not, right?
From the “adult products”, I would like to try either the sunscreen from The Organic Pharmacy — it’s the only sunscreen they have that is SPF 50, good for beach and outdoor sports — or something from the Kimberly Sayer range, e.g. the Deep Cleansing French Clay Mask, or the Hydrating Anti-oxidant Facial Mask, or the Anti-oxidant Daily Moisturizing Cream (I’m a sucker for anything that has the word “anti-oxidant’ in it, ha!)
It’s interesting to note they have categories such as “Dental Care” and “Pet Care” too. Well, I guess if we really want to go natural/organic all the way, should include these too. Thankfully I don’t have pets, hee hee!!

  31. Carol says

This year for Christmas, I would like to treat my boyfriend to Bud’s back detox facial treatment. His back is filled with small zits, white heads, and blackheads. This treatment will definitely remove congestion and leave him with a smooth back.

For myself, I would like the 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Cherry Blush as a gift. This year my boyfriend and I are going to a fancy restaurant for his company’s Christmas dinner. So I will probably need to dress up and wear some makeup. Since I don’t have any organic blush, 100% Pure Fruit blush will be perfect. The blush is colored with antioxidant and vitamin rich fruit pigments instead of synthetic dyes. The product is also certified organic by QA, Baystate Organic Certifiers, Oregon Tilth Certified Organic, and Organic Certifiers!

I have liked their facebook page and tweeted this giveaway.

It’s really great to have a store that is commited to selling organic and natural products. A real 1 stop store.
I’ve been looking for organic shampoos for my girl and now that I’ve found it, I would like to get Logona Kids Shampoo & Shower Gel for my girl to try, and Buds for Kids: Orange Shower Gel for both my girl and boy too.
As for myself, I would like to try one of Kimberly Sayer’s cleanser.
Of cos, I would like to try Mukti Macadamia & Honey Lip Balm for my son’s dry lips!

  33. says

I would love to receive “100% Pure Cucumber Juice Facial Cleansing Foam” for a Christmas gift. I have sensitive skin and many cleansers have caused me to breakout or give me rashes on my face. I think that cleanser would be perfect as it is as it claims, “100% pure”!

  34. says

the bud bag sounds so good :) and they have organic perfumes too…I have been wanting to try organic perfumes as artificial ones don’t really agree with my nose and head!!!

  35. Issa says

I would love the Pure Fruit Pigmented Pretty Naked Palette! I wonder if it is also as pigmented as the high end makeup!

  36. AgnesM says

Organic perfumes sound really interesting and I would like to have that as a Christmas gift. Being a mask-fanatic gal with a hydrating focus, if given a chance, I would love to try out Mukti Vitamin Earth Masque, Kimberly Sayer Hydrating Anti-Oxidant Facial Mask and Organic Pharmacy Mask too.
    Thanks, Sesame!

  37. Theresa says

    Dear Sesame

I recently developed a lip allergy (perhaps due to the lip sticks I used), and have been using Egyptian Magic. It has healed quite a bit but the allergy has been recurring for the past few months. I need a handy lip balm which I can carry in my bag so that I can re-apply the balm whenever my lips feel dry and painful.

My sister has oily, limp hair and I read that Nettle can help alleviate an oily scalp. We are currently using Sukin but it isn’t working too well for my sister, hope to give the Logona shampoo a try!

    Thanks Sesame!

    xx
    Theresa

  38. Diane says

Ive been to buds a few times…
Im a bug fan of 100% pure products that they carry. Less on the face care but more on the lotions & make up :)
i also went to buty the kimberly sayer sunblock after your review.

  39. Kim says

I’m looking for a moisturiser with SPF, so the 100% Pure Organic Pomegranate Antioxidant Hydration SPF 20 is tempting for me! What’s there not to love when it has titanium oxide, xinc oxide coupled with pomegranate oil to fight free radicals?
Will be great to have a Buds store in Malaysia that can supply me good and safe skincare products at affordable prices too.
Thanks to Buds for sponsoring the lovely gifts! I’ve used the Mukti lip balm as an eye mask, and I love that it really moisturises my eye area.

  40. DJ says

The one product I’ll really love for a Christmas gift is…. the entire store!! Heh no, the product that I’d really love is the 100% Pure Brightening Scub + Mask as it’s able to enliven dull looking complexion to make it more vibrant, healthy and glowing. Rather than using harsh chemical skin lighteners, they make us of all natural, gentle ingredients from fruits and food to nourish and exfoliate our skin!

  41. says

Bud Cosmetics, if I’m not mistaken, has the largest collection of organic/natural products here in Singapore. I’ve bought a couple of stuff from them before and their staff are very helpful with their recommendations–in store and online (emails).

Below are a couple of products retailed at Bud Cosmetics which are in my Christmas wishlist:
    1. The Honore Des Pres – I mentioned this in my recent Christmas Beauty Wishlist post. I’ve never liked perfumes because I’ve always felt they’ll make me ill–had this paranoia even before I turned eco beauty. And I’ve always had an aversion to synthetic fragrances, I love “natural” scents like coconut and flowers.
    2. Rose Plus Brightening Complex (Organic Pharmacy) – simply because I’m a sucker for brightening products. I hate my sallow skin tone.
    3. Logona Anti-Cellulite Oil – currently using another anti-cellulite oil which has garnered quite a bit of raves. So I’m wondering how Logona’s version compares. I might purchase this once my current oil runs out.
    4. John Master’s Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment – Well, I’ve got fine hair like you and have always been paranoid about losing too much hair. Currently, I’m using an ayuverdic scalp oil but it’s a tad too oily. JM comes in a spray bottle so I’m guessing the solution won’t be as greasy and will be lighter?
    5. Any of the Filthy Farm Girl lip balms – unfortunately, I’m currently back on petroleum jelly for my lips :( the last lip balm gave me blisters and I’m now trying to recuperate. I’m also on the lookout for a new natural/organic lip care product to try. Don’t want to get stuck with petroleum again.
    6. Mukti Macadamia Lip Balm – I might actually get this on my next visit to Bud due to same reason from #5.
    7. Any of the Natural hair color powders – Just want to experiment if a reddish henna will be able to tint my hair and whether it’ll last long enough.

  42. Apple says

    Hi Viva Woman,

I would like to try Logona Essential Care Nettles Shampoo! Like the fact they minimise use of GM ingredients and fair trade – I (and I think most people too) do not care about these when shopping for haircare products at retail outlets! Such practice is definitely necessary to move towards a green gracious society. No wonder this a green goodie bag! Love it!

    Cheers,
    Apple

  43. kay says

hi! i’m down to the last two uses of LOGONA shampoo and i’m very sad to finish it because ever since i made the switch to LOGONA shampoo from commercial shampoo, there’s been alot lesser pimples on my scalp. now i’m starting on Akin shampoo and conditioner to try and it smells great! i’m definitely a convert for natural shampoo.

i just started using the Rose cleansing milk and it smells great. not artificial kind of rose scent where it fades to smell weird but this smells really nice throughout the whole cleansing process. i’m not sure how much to use each time, but i used 3 pumps which is about 10cents size over my face. after using, i used a foaming cleanser to double cleanse. this is great for use in the morning or late night rinse on the face because it’s gentle, but i doubt it’s enough to remove heavy makeup, which i don’t don on anyway. i love this!

    • sesame says

Is it the Rose cleansing milk from Logona? I jus got it too and I need like 4 – 5 pumps. I use it as a sort of pre-cleanse before using the foaming cleanser.
