I remember a time of my life when pearl powder featured in my diet and in my skincare. Not only was I ingesting pearl powder, I was applying the powder liberally to my face every night before bedtime. I can’t recall how the pearl powder did for me then but I remember my mom telling me that pearl powder can make my face fairer. So I know the benefits of using pearl powder on our skin somewhat and am quite sold on the idea of using it again when I received the Moroccan Natural Pearl Powder.
Not only do I have Weleda products in my handbag and on my bedside table, I now have a bunch of Weleda Creamy Body Washes competing for space on my bathroom countertop alongside the Weleda Birch Body Scrub. Good thing they are no eyesore as they all come in bright and colorful packaging. I love just about all of the body washes I’ve tried but I’m going to tell you my favorite of the four I’ve gotten from iHerb. And while we’re at that, I’ll also share my thoughts about their Birch Body Scrub—if it’s worth any space in your bathroom.
My husband can never get his head around some of my fashion choices. He thinks they’re too odd. Well, I can never get my head around some of his boring preferences either. The thing is, he doesn’t get bohemian. He doesn’t see the charm and chic in looking uniquely eccentric that’s totally de jour. I, on the other hand, love to dress like I don’t give a hoot about fashion on certain days and this is why clothes of an unrestricted, flowing style with interesting details and print particularly appeal to me. Like this Rad For Plaid Dress from Free People.
How many of you are turned off by the thought of eating bird’s nest? NO…you gotta be kidding me! Because I absolutely love them in spite of their unsavory origins. My mom used to prepare them quite regularly for me when I was growing up and naturally, I was influenced by her belief in their health and beauty benefits. Come to think of it, I really miss the taste of her double-boiled bird’s nest soup with ginseng slices and egg. *SLURPS*
In December last year, I began a new skincare routine using DERMAGOLD, a local range of fuss-free products developed especially for Singapore and Southeast Asian climate with effective active ingredients and easy to apply texture. I was looking forward to giving a good report about them because I was told that the products are deliberately organized in a system to deliver optimal results. So follow me as I share my thoughts about them and how they’d performed for me so far. At the end of this post, I also have a before and after picture of my face for your reference and scrutiny. (^_-)
