I don’t think I’ve said it before but I’m kinda proud to be categorized in the league of the 40+ beauty and fashion bloggers. You would think that I’m embarrassed, given my past inhibitions about my age but the truth is, I’m not. I was just hesitant about revealing the numbers because I didn’t want my blog to come across as age-inclusive. I like to think that what I blog about can inspire women of varied ages plus I really don’t feel that old.
Hey peeps! Merry Christmas! Hope you’re all shopped up and just having fun feasting or just chilling. It’s the start of a break for me and I’m taking time away from blogging for a few days. I hope to be back sooner but if you don’t find me here, you can always find me on Facebook and on Instagram. And if you’re not already following me, check out my social media buttons on the sidebar. But before I go, I just want to share something about the word “X’mas” because someone sent me an email recently requesting that we stop writing Christmas as X’mas.
I was first captivated by the packaging of Moroccan Natural. It must have been the mesmerizing blue bottles with the matching blue labels. That along with the lure of argan oil which works very well for my skin and the prospect of indulging in the sweet scent of rose oil made me all excited about their offerings. Added to that is the fact that I’m predisposed to loving oil on my skin already. So naturally, I needed no persuasion to try their products.
Okay, here’s the scoop on the latest supplement I’m on. Why, don’t look so surprised now. If you do, it means you’re not a follower of this blog because regulars know how much I love to try supplements as much as trying skincare products. HA. And yes, I know that fresh foods are better but you know what? I can’t get fresh Acai where I am based. So this Madre Labs Simply Acai Organic Powder is to me, a godsend!
I am quite a snob when it comes to hotel toiletries. I don’t use them unless absolutely necessary and instead, I always bring my own. However, I noticed that more and more hotels are offering luxury brands or spa collection toiletries that are said to be natural, green and sometimes organic too. For example, the toiletries at The Sentosa Resort & Spa, Spa Botanica, is in the natural category. June Jacobs Spa Collection, the resident toiletry brand at Hyatt is also made without parabens. Out of curiosity, I ran a check and found out that hotel amenities are being redefined and more and more favor products using natural therapeutical ingredients.
