Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Body Wash & Soap

Following my review on the Thursday Plantation range last month, I’ve added their Tea Tree Refreshing Body Wash and the Tea Tree Organic Soap to my skin care collection. As mentioned, I did like their products quite a bit and since I needed to replenish my body wash, I decided to purchase the products under this brand as they’re easily available and pretty much affordable.

FitFlop High Summer ’11: flirty, fun & feminine!

I didn’t know FitFlop comes with their very own iconic red nail varnish! Well, not until I attended a media invite this week to preview their High Summer 2011 collection. And that’s when I found out that one of the founders of FitFlop, Marcia Kilgore, was actually the founder of Bliss spas. The nail varnish however, is not for sale, but used mostly as a promotional tool. But I managed to score one for myself and am wearing it now. Heh. Oh, that’s not my feet you see in the picture here. They belong to Lynly Fong, Director of Spirit Sports that distributes FitFlop. And those are the new Floretta – pretty aren’t they?

Makeup sponge or brush for mineral foundation?

I never talked about my beauty goal for this year but one of them is actually to use more natural makeup. So the first thing I did was to switch back to using mineral makeup, thanks to the customized mineral foundation from Lolita New York. I did not lay my hands immediately upon receiving it but only started using it recently. As some of you may know, I was using using several brands of mineral makeup for over a year but when my skin broke out in acne, I gave them up because the coverage just wasn’t good enough for me. Well, I just realized that perhaps using kabuki brushes ain’t so great for my acne blemished skin afterall when it comes to MMU.

Review: Tremella Orient face & eye masks

Almost S$20 poorer and I learnt that it’s not good to stray even when it comes to skin care. Blame it on the curious cat – oh someone take the cat far away from me please! And I really need to be reminded on why I dislike using face masks for they are messy for me and the whole 20 minutes I had the mask on, I was busy wiping the serum off my hairline and ears! Grief I tell ya!

Share: are you sold by ‘magic’ beauty products?

Magic Cream. Magic Elixir. Magic Skin Care. Magic Facial. And Magic What Nots. The word ‘magic’ seems quite common in the cosmetic industry. I’ve come across a couple of products using this word as a prefix and I wonder if these products generally do well. I mean, the word does conjur images of miraculous performance and instant results doesn’t it? Or is it abracadabra and then poof?
